We he is off....to the hospital that is
My husband likes delivering babies, even on his day off....
I am quickly learning that time 'off' never actually exist until it is passed. This is part of this job but the reality sometimes stinks. I am doing my best to help our children understand about daddy's job, and for the most part they just accept that this is the way it is are are happy he is a doctor. They of course dont have anything to compare it to. Most of their friends daddies have similar jobs or are never around for some other reason. They dont realize that if daddy had a 'normal' job he would be home on weekends and dinners.
We are just grateful for any time we do get. Yesterday we celebrated our Thanksgiving together, as Jacob was gone at work the previous day. We had a great time just being together, our little family, cooking, eating, and playing. I picked up a camera during black friday (since we still cannot locate ours) and will post pics later today...
I never go out to buy presents on black friday, just to get us things we have been needing that happen to be on sale that day. But man, every year I go out I remember why I shouldnt....I cant stand the traffic jams in the parking lots and crazy people fighting over stuff...just crazy...

update
I know I have not been posting. Jacob has been working tooooooo many hours at the hospital...lets see if I can do the math for this week...ummm about 85 hours this week. Tomorrow is his only day off before it starts up again. We are both so looking forward to vacation which will be the week before christmas.
The house hunt continues. Although on a bright note we did find a rental that we love (assuming we cant find a home to buy, then we will move into this right before or right after christmas).
Jane is growing like a weed and if we hadnt lost our camera than I could actually take some photos to put up here...Just another thing we need to buy now.
Man my hands are freezing (have I mentioned that we discovered that the home we are in has no heat upstairs......it was a fabulous moment to find that one out)
alrighty enough randomness...
